Plain English summary: CarBuyAgent provides vehicle data checks and buying/selling assistance services. Our verification service checks PPSR government data and market pricing — it is not a mechanical inspection. You remain responsible for all purchase decisions. We are not liable for losses arising from vehicle transactions.
CarBuyAgent is a trading name of JAMEOLAS PTY LTD (ABN 67 641 857 043). We provide used car buying concierge services, vehicle verification services, and related automotive data services to consumers and private sellers in Australia.
By using any CarBuyAgent service or purchasing any CarBuyAgent product, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
CarBuyAgent Verified is a vehicle data verification service. When you purchase a CarBuyAgent Verified report, we conduct the following checks on your behalf:
Critical limitation — please read carefully: CarBuyAgent Verified is a data check service only. It is NOT a mechanical inspection and does not assess the physical condition, roadworthiness, structural integrity, or mechanical fitness of any vehicle. A vehicle may pass all CarBuyAgent Verified checks and still have significant mechanical faults, hidden damage, flood damage, or other defects that are not detectable through PPSR or market data searches. You must conduct your own independent mechanical inspection before purchasing any vehicle.
Our Full Concierge service involves CarBuyAgent acting as your representative in sourcing, assessing, and negotiating the purchase of a used vehicle. This service is provided on a best-efforts basis. We do not guarantee that a suitable vehicle will be found or that any particular price will be achieved.
Our Data Report service provides market intelligence and vehicle shortlisting based on your stated requirements. Reports are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial or purchasing advice.

While we take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee that these data sources are complete, current, or free from error. PPSR records may not capture all finance arrangements or events. Vehicle history data depends on the availability and accuracy of listing records. We strongly recommend all buyers conduct independent due diligence including a personal PPSR search at ppsr.gov.au ($2) before completing any vehicle purchase.
CarBuyAgent Verified certificates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After 30 days, the verification expires and the public verification URL will no longer return a verified result. A vehicle's PPSR status may change after verification — for example, new finance may be registered against the vehicle. We recommend buyers always verify the currency of any certificate and run their own PPSR check if significant time has passed since verification.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.
Due to the nature of our services — which involve the immediate incurring of third-party data costs on your behalf — CarBuyAgent Verified reports are non-refundable once the verification process has commenced. If a report cannot be completed due to a system error on our part, a full refund will be provided.
CarBuyAgent Full Concierge fees are fully refundable if you have not yet received a shortlist of vehicles. Once a shortlist has been delivered, a partial refund may apply at our discretion.

Any misuse may result in immediate cancellation of your verification without refund and may be reported to relevant authorities.
The CarBuyAgent name, logo, badge designs, and verification certificates are the intellectual property of JAMEOLAS PTY LTD. Sellers who purchase a CarBuyAgent Verified report are granted a limited licence to display the CarBuyAgent Verified badge in connection with the specific verified listing only. This licence expires when the verification expires or the vehicle is sold, whichever comes first.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement. To the extent that the Australian Consumer Law permits us to limit our liability, our liability is limited to re-supplying the relevant service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
